Some people (including myself) have had problems with making NPCs talk and just say random things without the need for them to give the player any quests. The files in this package contain the minimum resources required for making a talking NPC.
I used the template for the randompeople quest and managed to make it work once I added empty 'reward' and 'requirement' slots to the quest. I don't know why that is since the original randompeople quest does not need them.
Since the dialogue of any NPC still falls under the quest category, just remember to activate the quest under options when you're in the editor. And of course you will have to set the mod folder when adding the mod, otherwise torched will not find the new mod folder's resources. Sorry if I'm being too obvious :lol: actually missing the obvious is what usually steepens the learning curve for me with TorchED.
You may want to rename the files and the respective resources to suit your own mod and make some minor adjustments.
